Some of my earliest memories were of going on hospital rounds with my dad, a family practice doctor since 1972. I saw how cared for his patients with knowledge and compassion. In high school, I worked the front desk at my dad’s office over the summers, greeting patients and checking them in. Throughout my time there, I learned all aspects of the practice – from the bookkeeping to developing x-rays. I enjoyed the relationships I began to build with my dad’s patients.

A little over a decade later, after I graduated from medical school at the University of Florida and completed my residency at Michigan State, I joined my dad’s practice, where I began to take care of patients that I met when I was only 16 years old! This is my favorite aspect of my practice: the relationships. Since we have four or five generations of families that come into our office, we truly have a FAMILY practice. Because of these connections, and the legacy that my dad left, I have a personal investment in my patients. I have gone through life with them and it’s incredibly fulfilling to be able to help them through any health challenges they may face.

Our practice is unique because of the family atmosphere and the experience of 32 years practicing medicine. Not only do I have a personal relationship with my patients, but my staff members do as well. We have staff that has been with our practice for decades – our office manager started as a medical assistant student with us over 15 years ago. Together, we are dedicated to serving the families in our practice and providing a comprehensive approach to our patients’ well-being.

“I have been seeing Dr. (Pamela) Stearns for more than 5 years now, and even thought and live in Weston, i keep choosing her as my primary care doctor every time i change insurances. She is nice, caring and takes her time to answer my questions. Her staff has been always really nice and has been the most competent one in all medical offices i have dealt with. Also the waiting time is most of the time 10-20 min. Occasionally i had to wait a lot longer inside, but not often.”

“Dr. (Pamela) Stearns and her staff treated me with respect, professionalism and compassion. Her staff was efficient and Dr. Stearns herself showed sincere empathy when I shared my concerns and history, something truly rare in the medical world today. She did not rush me and was not quick to prescribe medication, which I have seen a lot of in this day. I highly recommend her. She is worth the wait because she is a trusted physician.”

“She (Dr. Pamela Stearns) was great! Very knowledgeable, shows compassion, has a great sense of humor and answers all your questions. Wait time 10-15 mins. Her Medical Assistant was super friendly, educated and great with drawing blood. The check out lady was the only flaw. She wasn’t as friendly. Overall the doctor and the staff were great.”

“Compassionate and caring staff. Dr. Stearns takes her to time to understand the issue without jumping to conclusions. Will offer alternatives to just throwing pills at the problem, when appropriate.”
